Are you looking for $$ to start or expand your food or farming enterprise? Need help identifying funding sources? Or, are you interested in developing local lending options to support small farms and local food businesses in the Palouse-Clearwater region? Come to the next Rural Roots Speaker Series to learn about two community loan options!
Established in 2015, CCLN is working to develop opportunities for community members to invest in our local food system. Current investment opportunities being developed include: Peer-to-Peer Lending, Non-Profit Social Investment Funds, and Investment Clubs. CCLN would also like to work with local credit unions to create a CD-backed loan fund and explore options for supporting other funding sources such as KIVA Zip.
Businesses featured at past network meetings: Moscow Urban Farm/Victory Farm, LINC Foods, Community Sourced Capital, MELA, Frisson Farm, Idaho’s Bounty and Deep Roots Farm.
The mission of the Camas Community Lending Network is to strengthen our regional food system by facilitating community financial support and investment in the start-up and expansion of locally-owned food and farm businesses in the Palouse-Clearwater region.
CCLN is a project of the Palouse-Clearwater Food Coalition.
